Xiaomi Redmi 5

Feb 22, 2022 / By Meharun Akter / in Electronic

The most significant upgrade Redmi 5 brings over its predecessor is the bezel-less display. Before the launch of the Redmi 5, I expected it to have a more powerful processor, a larger battery, etc, but never expected it to have a bezel-less display. Making a smartphone bezel-less increases the production cost, and Xiaomi wouldn’t waste resources on such features, but Xiaomi somehow managed to include a bezel-less screen among the other upgrades; Kudos to Xiaomi for it. The display is a 5.7-inch IPS LCD unit with HD+ resolution. The screen misses out on Corning Gorilla Glass protection, but during the usage, the device accidentally a couple of times on hard surfaces, and that too directly on the screen, but the display didn’t break. The same goes for the scratch resistance, the screen didn’t pick any scratch even after two weeks of usage. It brings features like LED flash, HDR, panorama, Fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass. It also comes with a 5.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1440 pixels at a PPI of 282 pixels per inch. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 runs Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) and is powered by a 3300mAh nonremovable battery and also comes with a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor with 2 GB of RAM. It measures 151.80 x 72.80 x 7.70 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 157.00 grams. It also includes 12 MP Back cameras with 5 MP in front.
